# Swap overview

> Swap tokens across eight networks at the best available rate, with market, limit and TWAP orders.

DYXY Swap is a DEX aggregator. Instead of trading on a single exchange, it checks liquidity across many decentralized exchanges on the network you choose and routes your trade wherever you get the most tokens out. You keep custody the whole time: tokens leave your wallet and the output comes straight back to it in the same transaction.

## Supported networks

Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, Arbitrum, Base, HyperEVM, Avalanche and Robinhood Chain. Swaps happen within one network: you swap tokens on Ethereum for other tokens on Ethereum. See [Supported networks](https://docs.dyxy.io/getting-started/networks.md).

## The swap panel

| Element | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **You pay** | The token and amount you sell, plus your wallet balance. Click **Max** to use the full balance. On native tokens, Max leaves a small amount for gas. |
| **You receive** | The token you buy and the estimated amount out. |
| **Rate** | How many units of one token you get per unit of the other. Click it to flip the direction. |
| **Price impact** | How much your trade moves the price against you. It grows with trade size relative to available liquidity. |
| **Minimum received** | The least you will get after slippage. If the market moves past this, the trade reverts and you only lose gas. |
| **Route** | Which exchanges and intermediate tokens your trade passes through. |
| **Fee** | The DYXY trading fee and the estimated network fee. |

## Finding a token

Search by name or symbol, or paste a contract address to import any token that is not on the default list.

> Anyone can create a token with any name, including the name of a real project. When you import a token by address, DYXY shows a warning. Check the contract address on the project's official site or a block explorer before you trade it.

## Token approvals

On EVM networks, the first time you sell an ERC-20 token, you sign an **approval**. It lets the swap contract move that token from your wallet. You only approve each token once per contract. Selling a network's native token (ETH, BNB, AVAX, HYPE) does not need an approval. Solana does not use approvals.

## Fees

Each swap carries a DYXY trading fee on the swapped amount, shown in the panel before you confirm. Liquidity provider fees of the underlying exchanges are already included in the quote. You also pay network gas. See [Fees](https://docs.dyxy.io/getting-started/fees.md).
