# V2 (Pro)

> A full trading terminal with an order book, advanced order types and margin modes.

V2 is the professional perps interface. It runs on the same Aster engine as V1, with up to 100x leverage on every market, and adds everything an active trader expects from a centralized exchange terminal.

## The layout

| Area | What it contains |
| - | - |
| **Market bar** | Selected market, last price, 24h change, 24h volume, open interest, funding rate and countdown to the next funding |
| **Chart** | Full TradingView chart with indicators and drawing tools. Your entry, liquidation, TP and SL levels are plotted on it |
| **Order book** | Live bids and asks with depth, and adjustable price grouping |
| **Trades** | The most recent trades in the market |
| **Order panel** | Order type, side, size, leverage, margin mode and options |
| **Account panel** | Positions, open orders, order history, trade history, funding history |

## Order types

| Order | What it does |
| - | - |
| **Market** | Fills immediately at the best price in the order book |
| **Limit** | Fills only at your price or better. Rests in the order book until filled or cancelled |
| **Stop market** | Sends a market order when the mark price reaches your trigger price |
| **Stop limit** | Places a limit order when the mark price reaches your trigger price |
| **Take profit / Stop loss** | Closes the position when the price reaches your target or your stop. Can be attached when opening or added later |

## Order options

* **Time in force.** **GTC** (good till cancelled) keeps a limit order in the book until it fills or you cancel it. **IOC** (immediate or cancel) fills whatever it can right away at your price or better, and cancels the rest.
* **Reduce only.** The order can only reduce an existing position, never open or increase one. Useful for exits.

## Margin modes

Choose the margin mode for a market before you open a position in it.

| | Cross | Isolated |
| - | - | - |
| Margin used | Your whole available balance backs all cross positions | Only the margin you assign to that position |
| Risk | A losing position can use the whole balance | Losses are limited to that position's margin |
| Liquidation | One shared risk level across positions | Each position has its own liquidation price |
| Best for | Hedged or diversified portfolios | Single high-conviction or high-leverage trades |

You cannot change the margin mode while you have an open position or open orders in that market. See [Margin and leverage](https://docs.dyxy.io/trade/perps/margin-and-leverage.md).

## Managing positions

From the **Positions** tab you can:

* Close at market, or close with a limit order at a chosen price.
* Close part of a position.
* Add or remove margin on isolated positions, which moves the liquidation price.
* Set or adjust TP/SL.

> [!TIP]
>
> Use **GTC** for limit orders you are happy to wait on, and **IOC** when you want a fast fill without leaving a resting order behind. Add **Reduce only** to exit orders so they can never flip your position by accident.
