# Trader discount

> Join DYXY with a referral code and get 10% off all trading fees.

When you join DYXY with someone's referral code, every trading fee you pay is **10% lower**. The discount covers swaps, perps, stocks and trading bots, and it applies automatically to every trade.

## Use a referral code

There are two ways to link your wallet to a code.

**Referral link**

Open the referral link you received and connect your wallet. The code is applied automatically. Confirm the link when DYXY asks you to.

**Enter a code**

Open **Referrals** in the app, connect your wallet, enter the code in the **Enter referral code** field and confirm.

Once linked, the discount is active on your next trade. The Referrals page shows the code you are using.

## How the discount is applied

The discount is taken off the trading fee before it is charged.

**Example.** You open a perps position with a notional size of $50,000. If the standard trading fee on it is $25, you pay \$22.50 instead.

| Swap | 10% off the trading fee |
| Perps, including Degen mode | 10% off the trading fee on opening and closing |
| Stocks | 10% off the trading fee |
| Trading bots | 10% off the trading fee on every order the bot fills |

The discount applies to DYXY trading fees only. It does not change network gas, funding payments, or fees taken by integrated protocols.

> You can link your wallet to only one referral code, and the link is permanent. Make sure you use the code of the person or community you want to support.
