# Staking overview

> Native, liquid and pooled staking in one place.

Proof-of-stake networks pay rewards to the people who lock tokens to secure them. DYXY lets you stake in three ways, each with its own balance between yield, flexibility and simplicity.

> **[Native](https://docs.dyxy.io/earn/staking/native.md)**
>
> Delegate SOL, HYPE or AVAX directly to a validator.

> **[Liquid](https://docs.dyxy.io/earn/staking/liquid.md)**
>
> Stake and get a token you can trade or use: mSOL, osETH, sAVAX.

> **[Pooled](https://docs.dyxy.io/earn/staking/pooled.md)**
>
> Stake any amount of ETH through StakeWise.

## Compare the three

| | Native | Liquid | Pooled |
| - | - | - | - |
| Assets | SOL, HYPE, AVAX | SOL → mSOL, ETH → osETH, AVAX → sAVAX | ETH |
| What you hold | A delegation to a validator | A liquid staking token in your wallet | A share of a staking vault |
| Liquidity | Locked or subject to an unstaking period | Can be sold or used at any time | Unstaking through an exit queue |
| How rewards arrive | Added to your stake or paid at the end of the period | The token's value grows against the base asset | Added to your staked balance |
| Best for | Maximum control, no extra contract layer | Earning while keeping assets usable | ETH holders with less than 32 ETH |

## How rewards are shown

Each option displays an **APY**, the estimated yearly return with compounding. Staking APYs come from network rewards and change with network conditions. They are not fixed.

Your total staking rewards across all positions are shown in USD in your [Portfolio](https://docs.dyxy.io/portfolio/overview.md), since you may be earning in several different tokens.

## Fees

DYXY charges no fee on staking. Validators and staking protocols take their own commission from rewards. The APY shown is after that commission. You pay network gas for each transaction.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Staking carries risks of its own: validator downtime or penalties, smart contract risk on liquid and pooled staking, and the price of a liquid staking token drifting from its underlying asset. See [Risks](https://docs.dyxy.io/resources/risks.md).
